Fees

Pursuant to Section 51 of the Canada Marine Act, notice is hereby given that the St. John’s Port Authority proposes:  (1) (a) to increase all port fees by 1.6% and (b) to amend the Electricity Service Charges by substituting a rate of $20 per day (or part thereof) for shore power access at Piers 6 and 7, in  replacement of the current per kilowatt-hour (kWh) rate, with both to become effective on March 1, 2018; and (2) to increase the per kWh rate contained in the Electricity Service Charges at the same time and at the same rate as any increase implemented by the local utility for general service users during 2018.

The current schedule of port fees is available on the St. John’s Port Authority’s website. Alternatively, these documents may be obtained from the St. John’s Port Authority on request; and persons interested in making representations about the proposal may do so, in writing, addressed as follows:
