Special Examination Report

Every five years, pursuant to the Canada Marine Act (CMA), all 17 Canada Port Authorities must have their auditors complete a special examination of the port’s systems and practices.

The St. John’s Port Authority’s (SJPA’s) Auditor, further to Section 42 of the CMA, has completed its examination and found that “…there is reasonable assurance that there are no significant deficiencies in the systems and practices examined.”

The summary Special Examination Report is available to the public at the registered office of the SJPA during normal business hours and has also been posted here.
