The SJPA is pleased to announce and congratulate the recipients of it's five 2019-2020 scholarships.
2019-2020 FISHERIES AND MARINE INSTITUTE OF MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Mr. Sean Hanrahan, President & CEO of the SJPA, congratulates the recipients of its two $1,000 scholarships for the 2019-2020 scholarship year, tenable at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University.
Mr. Patrick Dube of Conception Bay South, NL, in the 4th year of the Nautical Science Program.
Mr. Joshua Santos of Colon, Panama, in the 4th year of the Nautical Science Program.
2019 MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Mr. Jonathan Young of Mount Pearl is the recipient of its Memorial University Scholarship award, valued at $2,500. Mr. Young is pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at Memorial University and is currently on a work-term at Memorial in St. John’s.
2019 COMMERCIAL PORT USERS - TWO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
There are up to two $1,000 scholarships designated for dependents of full-time employees of the Port’s commercial users and these are tenable towards post-secondary education at any recognized public college, university or private institution. Dependents of members of the International Longshoreman’s Association and full-time employees of the SJPA are also eligible. Mr. Sean Hanrahan, President & CEO of the SJPA congratulates this years recipients.
Ms. Brooke Peyton of Paradise, pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing degree at Memorial University.
Ms. Lauren Snook, of Conception Bay South, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
